General Information about our
Tower Rental Lease Agreements

SECURITY:
Buildings that house your equipment remained locked at all times. Keys to all tower site locations (including buildings and gates) are retained by Portapage. You may, with advanced prior contact with us, have access to your equipment at any time during normal working hours. Access is for the sole purpose of inspecting your equipment.

PLEASE NOTE: Only service agencies authorized by Portapage will be permitted access to the tower site locations.

EQUIPMENT:
Portapage will not assume any liability for loss or damage to your equipment caused by vandalism, theft, or an Act of God. We also assume no responsibility for mutual interference, intermodulation or desensing or any other interaction between transmitters located at the same site. If filters, cavities, duplexers or any other electronic device is required to correct any type of interference, it will be at your expense. Telephone lines that may be required for the operation of your equipment from a remote location (and the installation thereof) is the sole responsibility of our customers.

CONTRACT TERM:
The tower lease agreement is on a month to month basis and may be cancelled at any time by either party by giving thirty (30) days advanced written notification.

How To Request a Slot on the Tower

PRELIMINARY INFORMATION:
1) Your company name, mailing address, telephone and contact name.
2) Basic information regarding your current system, such as the operating frequency, power output of the base station or repeater, type of antenna, and antenna gain.
3) The area of operations of your communications system. For example, you would need to communicate in the Charleston, WV area.

WHAT SLOTS ARE AVAILABLE?
Our personnel will check tower sites within the area of operations that you are requesting. We will use the information that you have provided in determining which sites would best suit your communications needs. Tower slot availability will depend upon your operating frequency and height availability at the tower sites within your requested area of operation.

TOWER SLOT RENTAL RATES:
Rental prices of tower slots is dependant upon the antenna height on the tower. Call our Customer Service Department at 1-800-788-3867 for further information or you  may also email us with your request.

FAA Approved
The FAA has evaluated our sites according to the provisions of Part 77 of the FAA Federal Aviation Regulations. These evaluations determine if obstruction lighting and/or marking is required, if our sites are a hazard to air navigation, or if the FCC requires notification for system licensing. All of our sites have a determination on file at our Millwood office and are marked accordingly (if required) as per the instructions of each determination.
