The Lloyd Hoff Holding Corporation, Inc. family of companies are locally owned and
operated in the heart of West Virginia near the community of Millwood. In 1972, Lloyd Hoff
began with one other employee to build the business now known as Lloyd's Electronics. It's
mission being, to meet the need of commercial wireless communications for the people of
West Virginia. Lloyd's Electronics met this need by providing two-way radio service, sales, and equipment
installation, not only to West Virginia, but also to our neighboring southern
Ohio.
As the business grew, so did the need for additional
services for the area. Portapage and Repeaters began to meet the need of some of these services, such as equipment, antenna
and community repeater space rental. Portapage has over 70 tower locations
and Repeaters has over 100 community repeaters throughout the state as
well as in our neighboring state of Ohio.
In 1994, a new need arose...the need of a dependable paging service for
the unique mountainous terrain of our beautiful state. Black Bear Paging
Service began to meet this need and is today one of the fastest growing paging
companies in West Virginia.
In October 2000, the Lloyd's family of companies became aware of another need, the need of dependable and reliable internet services. Being dedicated to quality products and services, we were determined the best way to fulfill this need was to develop our own system. After months of research, we developed a state of the art internet service utilizing some of the most dependable equipment available. In April 2001, Black Bear Net came to fruition and is now offering over 30 local access numbers for
dial-up accounts, email, WEBMAIL, and web-hosting.
Also, during this time, we began our Computer and Technology Division. This division offers customer built computer systems as well as cellular
telephones and accessories, scanners and retail electronics. Our Customer
Service department also provides technical support for our computer sales
and well as for Black Bear Net.
Much has changed since we began in the home of Lloyd Hoff
in 1972. Yet, the commitment to provide the best service at the best price has not. The
services provided by the Lloyd Hoff Holding Corporation family of companies are as unique
